THE PUMPKIN DUET

A Set of Two Musical Pumpkins

Two sculptural pumpkins, composed as a quiet autumn duet.

This one-of-a-kind set consists of two individually handcrafted pumpkins, each created in my studio using my signature mixed-media technique and finished entirely by hand.

The first is wrapped in fragments of vintage-style sheet music, its softly aged ivory surface carrying faded musical notation like traces from an old score. The second has a quieter, more sculptural finish in layers of timeworn ivory, allowing its organic form and subtle texture to take centre stage.

Both pumpkins are crowned with wonderfully irregular, hand-formed stems and leaves. Delicate musical fragments reappear among the foliage, while pearl-like details, tiny textured accents and translucent crystal-like branches add a subtle shimmer without disturbing their antique character.

Their softly distressed surfaces, uneven forms and individually shaped details are intentional, celebrating the imperfect beauty of handmade work.

Displayed together, the two pumpkins create a gentle conversation between music and nature — one more richly patterned, the other more restrained — like two movements belonging to the same composition.

Perfect as an autumnal art object, but designed to remain timeless enough to be displayed beyond the season.
