THE SILVER MINSTRELS — Musical Bird Duo

Two little minstrels have arrived, dressed for a performance from another time.

The Silver Minstrels are a pair of individually handcrafted bird sculptures, created as companion pieces and offered together as a set of two.

Each bird wears a delicately ruffled ivory collar and a whimsical pointed hat made with vintage-style sheet music. Their softly aged bodies are wrapped with musical paper details, gathered into sculptural bows and finished with antique-style medallions.

Hand-shaped and painted using my mixed-media technique, the birds have deliberately timeworn surfaces, subtle irregularities and individual expressions. Their muted ivory, stone and silver-grey palette gives them the appearance of small treasures discovered in an old theatre or forgotten music room.

Designed to be displayed together, they sit beautifully amongst antique books, candlelight, musical ephemera and collected objects, while remaining a timeless decorative piece for any season.
